The Property Team works with the staff to maintain the church buildings and grounds. Our focus is the development and implementation of special improvement projects. As our facilities age and experience the wear and tear of ministry, it is our responsibility to insure that through our good stewardship it does so gracefully and continues to provide a supportive environment for accomplishing our mission.
The team’s work covers a variety of interests:
- Grounds keeping, gardening, and seasonal outdoor maintenance
- Management of “The Green Team” – our faithful volunteer lawn cutting crew
- Maintenance and minor repair of grounds keeping equipment
- Management of subcontractors / project management
- Design and management of special projects to improve or
renovate facilities
- Arranging for building and equipment repairs
- Mechanical and electrical equipment operation, routine
maintenance and repair
- Furniture repair and repurposing
- Energy and resource conservation
- Self performance of minor restoration work such as painting, millwork, small carpentry jobs
- Maintaining church insurance coverage
- Monitoring and approval of building utility expenses
In all that we do, we rely greatly upon the leadership of the Ministers, the
service of the staff and especially the building and grounds
