This team encourages our members to embark upon a journey of stewardship growth in the use of their time, talent, and treasure as a positive Christian witness. They also develop and oversee the operating budget of WGCC.

We are committed to Christ and to be good stewards of God’s riches. We are responsible for managing the assets and gifts of the congregation that are so lovingly blessed by God. These gifts are individual time, individual talent, and our community’s finances. The team is a witness to and teaches the importance of Christian responsibility and stewardship of our personal gifts that we too have been blessed with.

This is accomplished through seven (7) different sub-committees and task groups of the Stewardship Ministry Team.

Permanent Fund Committee oversees and encourages gifts of perpetuity that will sustain the church and it’s mission for many years into the future.
Memorials Task Group oversees, manages, and documents in our Memorial Book the receipt of and use of specific financial gifts given in memorial.
Fine Arts Fund Committee oversees the finances that help to fund our performing arts ministries in cooperation with our Worship Ministry Team.
Gift Inventory Task Group maintains our database of special skills and talents possessed by our congregational members. Then we help them find enjoyable areas to serve the church as part of God’s family.
Annual Campaign Task Group oversees our stewardship education in cooperation with Christian Education Ministry Team, and creates then implements our annual pledge campaign.
Finance Task Group is responsible for creating our annual budget and actively managing our finances against that budget, including receipts, disbursements, and investment activities.
Personnel Task Group manages the ministerial contracts and oversees the administrative staff and all personnel matters of the church in cooperation with the Senior Minister.
